About London Veterinary Physiotherapy & Behaviour

At London Veterinary Physiotherapy & Behaviour, we believe that care starts with understanding. Every animal is different in their condition, their personality, and how they respond to the world around them. That’s why we offer physiotherapy that’s not only evidence-based, but deeply individualised.

Our goal is simple: to help pets feel more comfortable, more mobile, and more confident whether they’re recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or simply in need of a gentler pace of care as they age.

From post-operative rehabilitation to long-term mobility management, we work closely with owners and veterinary professionals to create calm, supportive treatment plans that put the animal’s wellbeing first. Our service is fully mobile across London, with in-clinic support also available.

Whether we’re on your living room floor or in a referral clinic, our approach is always hands-on, kind, and clinically informed.

Meet Lauren

I’m Lauren, a veterinary physiotherapist with advanced training in Clinical Animal Behaviour. I provide calm, compassionate care that helps pets recover from surgery, manage long-term conditions, and move, pain-free.

MY QUALIFICATIONS

PGDip Veterinary Physiotherapy
University of Nottingham
School of Veterinary Medicine
PGCert Clinical Animal Behaviour
University of Edinburgh
School of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine

This level 6 clinical training equipped me with the theory & practical skills required for a veterinary physiotherapist. Core components included electrotherapies, anatomy & physiology, exercise programming, advanced manual skills, clinical reasoning & case management. I am currently completing my level 7 thesis.

This qualification taught an evidence-based approach to explore the potential motivations, management and treatment options for abnormal and/or problem behaviours commonly expressed by companion animal species, drawing on psychology, ethology, neurobiology pharmacology and veterinary science.

BSc (Hons) Health & Human Sciences
University of
Durham

Department of Anthropology

My first degree gave me a grounding in evolutionary biology, ecology, and general health sciences. I specialised in animal-related topics such as zoonotic diseases, human-animal relations (anthrozooology) and conservation biology. My final year took me to South Africa to study people & predators and my dissertation fieldwork was undertaken in Manila, the Philippines with people  and local stray animals.

Hi I'm Alice

I have always felt a strong connection to animals and wanted to work with them in a meaningful way. My interest in psychology and passion for animal care led me to complete a Bachelor's degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. Building on this, and inspired by my interest and experience in health sciences, I pursued a Master’s degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy and a Level 4 qualification in Canine Hydrotherapy. I am now a fully qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist and Canine Hydrotherapist registered with IRVAP.

This combination allows me to integrate behavioural understanding with physical rehabilitation, particularly as the link between pain and behaviour becomes increasingly recognised. In practice, I work with dogs experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, taking an evidence-based and compassionate approach to support recovery, build strength, and promote long-term wellbeing.

Hi I'm Daria

Hi, I’m Daria Gruca, the administrative support behind the scenes for London Veterinary Physiotherapy and a dog mom to Gigi, my energetic Cavapoo who reminds me daily why I love working in this fantastic sector!

I help keep things running smoothly by managing appointment scheduling, client communications, records, and the day-to-day operations, so Lauren can focus on your pets’ wellbeing. I’m often the first point of contact when you reach out, and I'm always happy to assist with any queries you may have.

Working in the veterinary physiotherapy field combines my passion to helping people with my adoration for animals. I feel lucky to be a part of a team that is so dedicated to helping animals live a happier and healthier life.
